It's just corporate business. They're not doing it to appeal to you or me, they're doing it to appeal to a market which they think will watch WWE if they offer the product that market wants.
There's just one problem with that. Those markets buy their lucha products because those products are NOT the WWE, and everyone knows that if AAA's sale goes through, the WWE will make fundamental changes to the core product which ruins it for the Hispanic audience and they stop watching it.
CMLL is already on the up due to fans of AAA foreseeing this happening.
