To be fair to Gable the character was booked as a joke and a heel. If they booked it the same way he could've got it over since hes just as good of a wrestler as Ludwig. Actually have to give credit to the WWE for making the pivot in the character and making it work.

Yeah, the surprising thing is that Kaiser managed to take a great gimmick and make it even better, but EGA was always over.
