I think Hangman is a boring, one-dimensional character. All he does is yell in this self-righteous tone. Every Dynamite, every segment is the same. Him just yelling. Well I guess he cried a little bit once too. Not even MJF is really spicing up the program, and he's very good.
If you compare Hangman to Swerve as Champion, Swerve was constantly doing media. Making appearances, putting himself in the public eye. Meanwhile Hangman quarantines himself to a small echo-chamber social network, and does nothing to promote the brand. Tony admits this was a pivot (aka he got bullied by big twitter accounts who are out of touch) and it was a terrible pivot at a time AEW was picking up steam.
