The Miz might be doing a good job playing the manipulative piece of shit heel who is using Carmelo Hayes as a weaponized tool to fend off babyfaces to save Miz's own skin in kayfabe..
but at this point, Miz is getting up there in years, and he's not really wrestling all that much either. And he just got done wrapping up American Gladiators, but that's a good start for him to get back into the TV & Film world.
Miz already made enough money in WWE, and he has been a safe worker in the ring for years without any need to do the Will Ospreay-style bullshit wrestling.
Miz needs to retire while he's still in good health, before he ends up being severely injured in the exact same manner as Zoey Stark did. It may take the male equivalent of Kairi Sane to cause Miz severe injuries.
