Drew was part of WWE's biggest feud of the year last year. Isn't he feuding with the WWE champion right now? He's fine. This thinly veiled AEWtist beg of him going over there is so dumb too. WWE is paying him out the ass so it's not like that's a selling point. AEW's ratings are as low as they've ever been. ironically, Drew McIntyre (along with Sasha Banks and Bayley) was the real reason why WWE prospered during the 2020-21 covid ThunderDome era, NOT Roman Reigns

McIntyre, Sasha and Bayley all helped carry the WWE on their backs while Reigns did nothing but stay home and sat his lazy ass on his couch.

They all are. These are the same fans that complain AEW has too many ex-WWE guys. The ones that complain people are being fumbled in WWE all because not everyone can be in the main event picture at once. Smarks think a person is only relevant if they're competing for the world title because they think titles are always the main goal. These are also the same people that think another toy in Tony's chest of over 170 toys is what AEW needs. They think Tony would totally book Drew into some mind bending level and not just rehash shit he's already done but against Orange Cassidey or Daniel Garcia instead.

He's not pushed because he's one of those guys with all the tools to be bigger than the company itself.
WWE doesn't want that. The company is the star and wrestlers are only allowed to be stars within that context. They don't want to build a guy who could go elsewhere and continue to be a draw on his own merits.
They only build guys who are lifers, either due to proven loyalty or due to having gimmicks which depend on being in the WWE. There are a few exceptions (Cody, given he was a huge FU to AEW) but this holds true for most of the roster.

Imagine what Hogan would have been had he not been given the booking. Charismatic, interesting in the ring, but told to work as a heel and always given the loss when it mattered most.
He might have gotten over to a degree but he wouldn't have been nearly as popular.

a lot of people already have given up on drew. his pops have been gradually declining week to week over the last year. marks aren’t stupid, they know when it’s pointless to get invested in a guy that always, consistently loses in the most important moments.
i feel like they should turn drew face. despite his cheers getting weaker by the week - they ARE still cheers. people don’t want to boo drew, there is some desire still to get behind him and root for him. i legit think they won’t do it just because he would upstage cody.
