Tony has been handed at least 2 Goldberg style situations where an act got over without him actually trying to push them. Swerve and the acclaimed. To his credit he did put the titles on them. While the acclaimed lingered in the mediocrity that is the bucks created tag division they never had a more over team and there sure was never any demand to break them up.
Swerves title run was him just constantly getting laid out by heels and then beating them in a 50/50 indie match until he lost to a guy who can’t wrestle anymore. Now he’s best friend to the white boys tony actually wants to push.
I don’t think it’s so much that Tony hates black people but that’s certainly a subconscious factor. It’s just that he has his ideas for big moments and he doesn’t take into account what the fans want or protecting talent long term.
He may honestly think that cause a crowd pops for all the big moves and kick outs that means both guys are over and considered strong, and it’s not just a bunch of people who grew up with wwe popping at stunts.
