This was also a huge elevation for the Intercontinental Title. For the first time in a long time, it felt truly important again. So what was the followup?
It seemed promising as Dolph had a match against Curt Hawkins in which he squashed him for a quick win. Nothing major, but it was a good sign of things to come. After that there was a rematch with The Miz in which The Miz won by kicking Dolph in the balls. Such a fucking letdown.
