Selling out playoff games isn't impressive, what drives the business is the regular season and that's AEW's biggest weakness
We already know what AEW would do with an additional hour of TV, 4 more matches and some 30 second promos. It failed, Rampage was cancelled, so now Collision gets crammed with more matches and even less character/story development.
Tony doesn't get it and AEW fans won't tell him the truth because the loudest among them SCREAM, and TROLL, and HARASS anyone that suggests doing what wrestling companies not named WWE have done for decades: less ring time, more promos, more in-ring exchanges, more skits, more comedy stables. That's what pushes the business, not forcing 7 minute matches to go 17 just because Tony Khan doesn't feel like writing or approving non-match scripts
