>>18913656WWE is only rich because they were able to sell their past, back when they were stilll good, for cheap, whilst having cheaper prices for live shows, now though? They're ripping off customers like mad, $60,000 Wrestlemania seats, $30 PLEs, $130 a month total to watch all current WWE shows legally, they're greedy, they're gouging prices during a time when the economy is reeling, during a time when groceries cost more than they ever have, during a time when tariffs are driving up the prices of all imported goods, all technology. This is shit business, plain and simple, yet TKO doesn't see what they're doing, they don't see that they're killing their own business. AEW's events are far cheaper than even NXT, so it's no wonder that AEW is slowly but surely gaining more interest. They have a long way to go before they're even close to ready for the big time, but, they do have an advantage, and a big one, and that is, they're easier to consume for the average working American. This is why wrestling is in such a sad state. We have nothing to really choose from anymore. All shows have massive flaws in the end as well, WWE is boring and has stagnant booking, AEW is flippy shit for older millennials who like Reddit posts about cats and trans rights, and puroresu is in its worst state yet. You know what's in it's golden age? Joshi wrestling. But most of us aren't pedos so that isn't feasible to watch either. That's why wrestling is dying. That's why we need a messiah-like figure, a modern day Russo or Cornette, that can separate the gold from the chaff, someone who can bring in new champions, new storylines, better wrestling with real psychology. Until that time I might have to stop watching wrestling outright, as most fans have already started doing thanks to how bad the last few events have been for all companies. Can anyone even name a great PPV from 2025? Probably not, huh? Figures, but that's 2025 wrestling for you.
