Wrestling sucks right now. It's a shadow of itself.
Men do wrestling better than women, full-stop. But the problem is that when men aren't doing anything particularly compelling, what you're really watching is a couple of guys playing slap ass. "Play fighting", we called it as kids. And that's kind of gay.
So it's natural, in those circumstances, to prefer seeing women. Women are easier on the eyes, and watching two women play slap ass is kinda based.
Now, throw in the fact that women wrestlers feel like they've got something to prove and actually try harder while most men today are lazy shitters and you introduce another factor. Sure, you have guys do cool moves, but they're lazy in their selling, their match psychology, their structuring, etc. The women at least try to do these things well, even if they're not always successful, because they want to prove they belong there. And the effort shows.
As for Stardom, you have the above factors along with the fact that most of the roster has been doing this for years and has reached the point where a lot of them are unironically good. But that's separate from why women's wrestling outshines men's wrestling even here in the US.
