There's a specific reason the TNA/WWE thing really grinds AEW fans gears.
AEW is supposed to be the opposite of WWE and help the industry and not be so tyrannical as WWE were. However the AEW/TNA partnership was very one sided and exposed AEW's more ruthless punching down side. (They also do the same to NJPW)
While they aren't doing it our of the goodness of their heart, WWE has actually helped TNA have one of the most significant boosts in regular crowd attendance in their history.
