>>19009642You posted it. Black & Silver feels like an attempt to push NXT closer to the direction that Gaytch likes: indy guys and Hottest Free Agents having heatless, pointless bangerinos. Almost everything that made White & Gold and 2.0 enjoyable and fun to watch has been gutted over the last year to turn the show into late era Black & Gold because Gaytch seems to forget that NXT is supposed to be a developmental show and not a WWE-branded indy promotion. The only HFA who's really worked out is Ethan Page and that's because he gets the point of wrestling is to entertain and rile up the crowd. But the more elaborate and kindy of cheesy storylines that gave people a reason to give a shit about even lower card stuff is gone, the pre-tapes are mostly gone, most anything that actually contributed anyone to having a character that wasn't generic has been stripped away. All the indy people and AEW castoffs and now TNA wrestlers means the lower card people or guys who aren't smark darlings get pushed off the show. There's no actual reason, for example, for Wes and the High Ryze to be slumming it on Evolve when they make for good midcard heels but between all the TNA guys and Taints and having the women take up 3/4 of the show (but only the same handful of women) there's inexplicably nowhere for them on NXT.
