>>19010397The real, unironic answer is that Rhea is tapping into a new fanbase of specific women that never watched WWE before, the hypercasual existence who only consumes aesthetical normie slop (think K-Pop demon hunters, the most surface level anime and marvel movies, etc), mentally ill women who also sport trashy tattoos and long for "muh hecking empowerment". This provides a new cashflow for WWE, and Rhea specifically. It'll die down eventually but anyone who's unironically surprised by this and claiming to be a business/marketing expert is a fucking moron.
To be honest, my gripes with Rhea and her shitty character aside, I don't blame WWE for doubling down on what seems to be making money for them, even if they seem to have zero idea on why it's "working". If only they had someone who was actually hip and could do good booking, they'd pave the way to an even wider gate that could open...
Anyway, this definitely won't last for too much longer. 6 more months max.
