The thing you're not taking into account are the actual Edge fans who just like the guy so they watched him in AEW too but would like to see him back in WWE for this one match as well. I don't watch WWE and it has never been my thing, so I have literally watched exponentially more of Copeland in AEW than I ever saw of him in WWE. But that seems reasonable, rational, and I could understand that.

However, the majority of the comments I've seen on social media recently are WAYYYYY closer to OP.
