I have a feeling John Cena's retirement is gonna go down as the worst retirements by an all-time great in the history of wrestling.
compared to other retirement tours and runs, like:
> Ric Flair was fighting tooth and nail to stay on as an active WWE wrestler throughout 2007-08. Vince declared that the next match Flair loses will result in Flair being forced to retire. He retired after WM24 when Shawn Michaels did the famous "I'm sorry. i love you" spot before hitting Sweet Chin Music on Flair and defeating him to finish off Flair's career. There was a story behind Flair's retirement.
> Shawn Michaels wanted to put an end to The Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania winning streak for WM26. HBK lost the first time, wanted another shot at it, got obsessed with it to the point that Taker granted him another shot at him, but if HBK loses, his career's over. HBK lost in 2010 and retired.
with Cena, what's going to happen is, Cena's gonna go out there in December, wrestle somebody and that's going to be it. Let's say Cena goes out there to wrestle Gunther, then Cena's just gonna have a match with Gunther, give a retirement speech and walk away.
What's so fucking special about that?
