This is a big part of why I prefer watching Japanese wrestling. They shut the fuck up unless something's happening, and then it's just cheering and name chants.

It really is a nice change of pace - fans just there to watch the show, not to get themselves over.
Can't stand to watch New Japan shows done here in the US though. Those bring out the worst of the worst.

What's obnoxious about chants? You ever watched any kind of "sport" in your life?
I like wrestling and I like fans having fun which also makes my experience more fun because people are having fun at the show instead of watching a match with a stone expression on their face.
