You don't care about the power of people who voted. Your party gerrymanders the shit out of every county it can and does everything it can to disqualify ballots and voters to ensure it wins and holds majorities.
And you pretend, once you won, that you have a mandate to do anything you want. That's not how it works in a representative government. You get to do some of what you want, sure. But you don't get to run roughshod over the other side and pretend it doesn't exist. Because, at the end of the day, even the losing side is supposed to be represented and have its views respected. Your side won on the narrowest of margins.
