I hated Michael Cole for most of my lifetime for similar reasons. I'm mature enough, however, to admit he became a lot better without Old Man Vince screaming at his ear (Shocker).
With that out of the way, after forcing myself again to watch some AEW in the effort of liking it (Also, I do dig some AEW wrestlers; Darby, for example, is extremely likeable in my opinion) I keep screaming at my monitor about this bumbling idiot.
His voice is not broadcast-friendly. I'm not sure if the mask makes his voice muffle, or if he stutters every couple sentences (I'm sorry if it's something you cannot control, but don't have a job that requires you to speak then**!**).
He is not a good communicator. When he gets excited, it sounds forced and unnatural. If I didn't know he was a geek, I wouldn't even be sure he likes wrestling (Knowing move names does not count).
So yeah, I strongly believe with a a decent commentator, AEW would be in a much better place today. (Taz is cool)
