when the Dutchman goes under the water Jones’ small tentacles that act like sideburns grab into his hat not to lose it
also Maccus, the guy who has the head of a hammerhead-shark has four eyes (two human, and two shark eyes) and his shark eyes are fully animated, blink, look around, and you won’t notice it unless you slow the scene and zoom in on him
DMC was basically a passion project of animators before Cameron’s Avatar fucked up everything with normalizing large scale cgi that quickly got sourced out to Asian countries like India and China where vfx guys work for a paycheck and tend to phone it in (compare Avatar 1 to Avatar 2, latter looks objectively weaker despite made 13 years later)
this is pretty much the same in games as well when visually, Crysis 3 from 2012 on max settings still rapes most modern day AAA games on ultra settings
