I get Danielson wanted to be the nice guy who puts everyone over but the issue is he done it so much it meant nothing. In fact when he came in it was the perfect chance for him to grab the belt off Kenny and "ruin" the happy ending for Hangman because Hangman's better at chasing than reigning anyway.

There has never been a good AEW champion at all. Like, none whatsoever. No lineage, no prestige, no class, no glory. You'd be better pressed to find a belt that fits any of the attendees at their shows at Mr. Big and Tall that would have more value than the AEW World title.

I will forever maintain that this was the point of no return for AEW. Danielson was the hottest thing in wrestling at that moment. The company had tons of hype going in the Arthur Ashe show and then Tony booked the main event to end in a draw lmao

Start with the good TNT champions. Cody, Darby, Christian, even Miro. Of course Punk, Moxley, Jericho, and Omega were going to get theirs. MJF was pegged as a top guy from the beginning, so him, too. All exposed, or in Punk's case injured every time. But even the few guys who didn't actively shit the bed with the World title like Danielson and Joe didn't have good reigns.
