Maybe they could have done weekly PPVs like TNA, or even just bi weekly PPVs. But then, even without all the big money guys who were signed to Time Warner instead of WCW, you're still paying someone like Booker T or even Kanyon a lot of money to work a couple times a month. Best case scenario it would be a money sink for a long time, if not forever.
Now if AOL time warner could have salvaged it is a different story. Slash the budget, probably move it back into a studio cause they weren't drawing. Again they have the problem of the inflated contracts, but eventually just budget the show to the ad revenue, and if that means you get Jason Jett vs Kid Romeo in a TV studio instead of Hogan vs Sting in a big arena, at least your still turning some kind of profit.
