>>19293369AEW will continue to shrink much faster than the rate of cord-cutting because their fans are absolutists who won't tolerate anyone sharing positive thoughts about WWE, TNA, etc. So they end up self-siloing and lose all touch with reality. Tony Khan prefers a captive audience like this which is why he encourages the cult behavior, it makes it much easier for him to operate when he has an army of retards parroting back the dogma:
>he doesn't do this for money!>he does this because he LOVES WRESTLING and he LOVES US!TKO/WWE is nakedly about the money, so there's always a discussion to be had - A) they've got enough money, so why not take a chance on X; or B) don't take a chance on X because Y draws more money. It's always at minimum X vs Y, short-term vs long-term, money vs entertainment, there's always options.
With AEW, you are told to sit back and shut the fuck up, that Tony has infinite money, that your criticism doesn't matter because AEW will exist no matter what. It sucks all the fun out of discussing anything, and if you can't discuss it online, then for a lot of people, that takes the motivation away from watching it.
