He did have a great gimmick and could have gone far as a mega heel in the company if management didn't fuck up and then just kick him to the curb for being good with a gimmick that they gave him.
The ironic part of his WWE run was in the 7-8 months that he was on TV he work with Hogan, Steve Austin, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Batista and Roddy Piper. The guy literally accomplished more in 7-8 months than most modern wrestlers will accomplish in their entire careers. Honestly, I would give him a spot in the hall of fame for being one of the most hated heels. He was like Sgt. Slaughter 2.0 in terms of the heat that he got.
