Can someone genuinely tell me the appeal of AEW? Why would you watch this crap the matches are botchy, the characters are half baked, storylines are basically just tournaments. Everyone is skinnyfat twink. Wtf is the point at least wwe has catchphrases and singalongs but why would you watch aew?

Now for the good part. Cody Rhodes is now in the WWE and there is NO FUCKING REASON to watch aew.

We all wanted a good alternative to WWE's trash and AEW seemed like that was going to be it. A billionaire's son who loved wrestling and could actually sway big talent to come to his company. But he fucked up tremendously and has no actual clue how to run a business or promotion. He's also way too big of a pussy or nice guy to be a real boss.

It's sad but true. There are very little people who actually like AEW anymore and the ones that are left refuse to admit the myriad of issues that plague the company and will until its inevitable demise. I truly wanted AEW to succeed, too. I still want them around because wrestlers can get paid outside of the WWE sphere. And that's a good thing. But to deny that AEW sucks is just being a cultist. And I'm not an e-drone, I despised WWE at the time of AEW's creation. WWE got better, AEW got worse.

They have some good shit, especially on the PPVs. I liked Darby/PAC, Mox/KOR and Briscoe/Fletcher on the last PPV.
Their shows are too long though, the week-to-week booking sucks, the commentary is kinda grating and the production is a headache. Basically similar problems to WWE, except with 1/3 of the popularity and their PR/marketing department is a billion times worse despite the company being far less controversial as a whole

i watch the ppvs the same way id watch a movie like 3000 miles to graceland or a troma flick. its schlock, but the sincere, funded attempts resulting in failure make it fun and enjoyable. if they happen to hit on something good (like mark briscoe or darby) thats just a bonus. dont watch the weekly show though, no interest
