this isn't even a defense of how the gimmick is actually being booked week-to-week (not great) or performed (mercedes is a bad promo etc)
but wrestling fans being so autistic that they call any basic story element that isn't plainly verbally sppken "headcanon" are why the business is shit today. you have to book for 20 year old former ipad babies who can't read facial expressions
