Like many AEW guys he always saw wrestling as a hobby and not a career. Hes had less than 600 matches over a 15 year career, you just can’t be a good wrestler working that infrequently.
He’s just there to take Tony’s money and hang out with his friends, the hangman nickname is ironically what he’s all about, and that lack of dedication is apparent to anyone who watches AEW for entertainment and not because they’ve been waiting two decades to stick it the WWE.
