>>19396038WWE sucks but, pal... you're kidding yourself if you think AEW is thriving. It's failing for entirely different reasons, most notably that it's appealing to a niche within a niche and it has no control of it's destiny in terms of TV exposure.
...and that's the killer.
Bad shows don't kill promotions, just as amazing wrestlers don't help save a company. It's a matter of getting your content in front of enough eyes. WCW had an unlimited budget but it died when TBS no longer wanted it. TNA had an extremely talented group of men and women wrestling but it died when it bounced around networks. ROH had the best of the best but nobody could find it. ECW was groundbreaking but it never had the support it needed.
WWE has broken through the regional barrier, the live gate barrier, even the PLE/PPV barrier. It's establishment media at this point, and it will always find a home. Maybe not the best contracts but it's mainstream. Even if they were dumped from Netflix and all their networks they'll still find a new one. Plus, the Saudis pay them enough to keep going anyway.
WWE is trash but you're delusional if you think anyone is a threat to them.
AEW will follow in the footsteps of every other company that tried to beat WWE. The quality of the product cannot beat the machine... and AEW is shit anyway. The sooner they die the better.
We'd be a lot better off if NA was WWE, Mexico was CMLL, and Japan remained like the old territories. I don't care what happens to UK and the EU... do Muslims allow wrestling?
