NJPW's overall attendance dropped maybe 5% over last years and that's after losing Naito who people always said was the biggest draw in Japanese wrestling

This is with a generation of new talent in a period where they are desperate to make new stars.

As long as you're not a complete retard console warrior, you can figure out that they're doing pretty good considering the circumstances.

The reality is that nobody expected this, Tanahashi least of all.

Muto barely got 30k for his retirement and he was the far bigger star in his time. It's insane that NJPW has sold out the fucking Tokyo Dome right now under any circumstances, shocking even, and the fact that somehow console warriors are still trying to paint it as "actually a bad thing" is some of the most transparent console war grifting I've ever seen on any website
