Kenny and Punk didn't really have much beef, if any. Punk's issues are with the Bucks, Hangman, Jack Perry, and Tony. Kenny's pretty much the only member of The Elite Punk does like and when Punk suggested turning the backstage stuff into an angle Kenny was the only one willing to go along with it.
