The Rock doesn’t count. Nobody remembers Kofi, Lashley, or Big E.
And by Black champions, I suppose I mean: characters who are Black Black. Like, urban Black. Or hell, even Bill Cosby, Uncle Phil rich black. Or even Family Matters middle class black.
For some reason, Black culture characters just don’t seem to get over with fans to the point where they become sustainable main event guys.
Maybe Trick or Bouncy could be the first. (Oba is more “pure African” than American Black, so I’m not sure he counts.)
Bianca, Jade, and Lash Legend are on a good pace right now on the women’s side. Does Nia Jax count?
