He was only in No Mercy's Story Mode as a joke. His slot was clearly meant for Big Show, but he was pulled from the game at the last minute, so they inserted in Richards because he was basically a manager at the time, and they thought it would be funny to have this chicken shit heel manager in the Big Show role.

Stevie(RTC gimmick) did generate more heat from me than Gaitch.
Even Road dogg and Billy Gunn were better heels than Gaitch
Gaitch can only generate go-away heat.Even in that he was not as good as X-pac's go-away heat
