Gable Steveson, on the other hand was supposed to be good, future great, promoted like he was going to replace Kurt Angle in our hearts and minds. But he was an absolute shitter failure. He was green after years of PC and multiple main roster visits, in ways that are so hard to explain and say about a guy with actual wrestling Olympic medal on his neck who is doing pretty well in MMA scene , but in professional wrestling, he couldn't do anything right,
His brother, ring name Damon Kemp, ran laps around him in the professional wrestling biz and he was only a NIL midcarder in NXT who got released. You couldn't believe they came out the same vagina and had ever met. Damon could cut a passable promo, be menacing, wrestle match that looked right, act natural on segments, he had personality.
Gable didn't get it all, he was unlikable, out of shape looking, blank faced, robotic. When it was go time he was unnatural as fuck like a he was programmed to do one pace and set routine only, the one they did the practice with. No instincts, no charisma, no eye for showbiz yet infinite resources were pushed on him.
Baron Corbin, being hated and rejected by fans, banished to the NXT to wait for contract to end, doing as much racebaiting as CW executives would allow just to get Gables black ass over in their feud,and gets over instead is a landmark in wrestling. Corbin could have put a klan hood on and strung him up the rafters in the ring and people would have cheered because they didn't have to see Gable trying to do a match anymore
