Howie’s career arc isn’t that much different from the WWE. He had different eras, some much much better than others depending on who’s helping to write it. Some of them oversexed and raunchy, some obsessed with toilet humor, a real edgy few years, a PG era and one that does nothing but act as a commercial for celebrities. His deal is overvalued (just like WWE) but once upon a time he was a primary driver for new broadcast technology just like wrestling was. Most people hate him now or just don’t listen, some of them hate-listen and complain about the golden eras. But really it’s just the last days of a thing that was once an institution. It’s been the singular vision of a not very likable guy who rose to the top of his field with a serious determination. Very Vince-Like.
