Kevin Nash Refuses to Cut Ties with WWE Over Donald Trump Association

No.19533821 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Mick Foley made headlines when he cut ties with WWE over the company’s continued association with Donald Trump—but don’t expect Kevin Nash to follow him out the door.

While Foley publicly announced on December 16 that he would no longer appear for WWE due to what he called the company’s “close relationship” with Trump, Nash addressed the situation during his Kliq This podcast—and he’s taking a very different route as he won’t be cutting ties with WWE.

>“He bailed. And I’m just like, man—I understand it. If that’s how Mick feels, I get it from Mick’s standpoint,” Nash said. “But for me personally, I had some people text me like, ‘Are you going to follow suit?’ And I’m like, uh… let me explain my position.”

>“Paul and I drove up and down the road together for about a year and a half… I was at their wedding. I was one of Paul’s best men. I was in the wedding. When I was Diesel, they flew my wife to New York City. Linda [McMahon] took my wife out for the day—like a girls’ day out—and they had dinner at the Rainbow Room. That was my wife’s first time in New York while I was busy doing a commercial and other things. Linda took care of my wife, and I’ll always be grateful.”

The WWE Hall of Famer made it clear that personal connection is why he just can’t walk away from the company, adding that he looks at the McMahon–Levesque family as family.

>“I look at the McMahon–Levesque family as family. They’re just family to me. They’re like my Republican family—different views maybe—but still family.”

>“Paul being involved with the President’s Council on Fitness like Arnold was, of course he’s going to do that. It’s a huge honor for him, and it means a lot to him.”
