The game came out in 1986 and Hellwig wasn't Dingo Warrior until summer that year. Berzerker may have been at least partly inspired by the Road Warriors.

Purple Hays was a Black guy who did a "ghetto blaster" move. Vicious was a gay guy. Adrian Adonis didn't do that gimmick until 1986 either so maybe inspired by Adrian Street.

Konga the Barbarian was on TV in 1985 with face paint, but Warlord didn't start until 1986 and had no makeup. Them and Ultimate Warrior and Sting all came after the Road Warriors.

you're probably right about berserker being a road warriors ripoff just because they were some of the only ones using face paint at the time when this game came out. the only other realistic candidate I can think of would be the missing link, so it could maybe be him but it was probably the road warriors.
