>>19539825It's a combination of things. First, they only have the wrestlers that are out there. There really aren't a bunch of big charismatic guys who can really go hiding out there somewhere and wrestling companies don't have a "Create A Wrestler" app where they can just conjure those guys out of thin air.
The other part of it is that people are a lot more aware what steroid abuse and constant shots to the head can do to someone, along with the long term ramifications of major injuries (along with the drug abuse that can go along with attempts at self-medicating to deal with that). The upshot is you don't have muscular guys who can really lay into each other like they once did so cooperation is a lot more key than it had been in the past.
The old times aren't coming back so the best course of action is to just enjoy stuff for what it is or to watch something else instead because old wrestling probably isn't coming back.
