yeah i've noticed that. originally to me it seemed like he would be a good midcard babyface by the time WWE signed him but maybe post-wrestlemania or so it seems he is destined to be a truth-like comedy jobber. probably should have given that match like 5 more minutes.
they really leaned too hard into the "say his name and he appears" bit when he was getting bigger pops not doing that before.

he had some stories on NXT when he was the TNA champ and the lead up to that but after he lost the title he kinda disappeared.
he doesn't really have a story right now.
they haven't even addressed that he is a WWE talent now, not a TNA talent. and that's on NXT, much less the main roster with the miz.
