If there was one specific movie studio that had 6 of the top 10 grossing movies of the year, they should be named the studio of the year. If one album had 10 different singles that spent the whole year in the Billboard 100, far more than any other album, it would make sense to call that album of the year. Picking an individual song of the year, or movie of the year, or wrestling match of the year is obviously going to boil down to more factors.
We are comparing wrestling companies that each did 60+ events on the year, it makes perfect sense to compare overall revenue, ratings, YouTube, social media, everything. What doesn't make sense is insisting your personal opinion and feelings overrides every other objective metric available. AEW having more critically acclaimed matches or PPV/PLE events on the year - while sinking further and further into debt and obscurity - doesn't make them the promotion of the year, it makes them the most tragic promotion. Anyone can run a company at a loss.
