I genuinely don't know if he does it in AEW because I skip his matches, but Mike Bailey's finisher on the indies was a 450 double knee drop onto an opponent who was willingly kneeling on all fours.
And this guy was on seemingly every indie show for years and years, especially in Canada, so the entire non-WWE wrestling world has had to sit through that guy's fucking routine at some point. It's the same match. Every single time.

Yup exactly this, I was the one who initially mentioned it. This is so much worse than a botch, errors happen in sports I don't mind an occasion botch (as long as it's not too dangerous) but stuff like this is so much worse because it's lazy and bad and no "experts" seem to ever all it out. I remember a week a rookie Maxxine Dupree messed up a sunset flip just a little by having to double clutch and Dave was all over her saying she's not ready and should be on NXT and during the same week he was giving Swerve highly rated star matches with finishes like this

The stomp only really works in multi man matches as you can have a submission or pin happening, and then Swerve just drops in from off camera to take out whoever is on the offensive.
1v1 it’s just far too much set-up and you end up with contrived shit like this

It's a fine move, it just doesn't make sense as a finisher. The setup is way too convoluted and really doesn't add much to the clothesline itself. He should just have a clothesline as a finisher and use the buckshot sometimes when the situation arises.
