>>19580215No. The storylines up and down the card actually advance under Vince's direction. Only the Vision vs Punk storyline develops from week-to-week, probably because Heyman and Punk are so close to it and they have the authority to direct it. That's it.
Gunther has done the same shit for three weeks. Cody keeps on beating McIntyre clean but then they keep feuding. Same with Vaquer and Nikki Bella. Jade Cargill is in a storyline with jobbers who job. The U.S. Title Open Challenge doesn't need a storyline (the DIY shit isn't anything). The Usos reunited and won the tag titles, but they're not embroiled in any story-driven conflict. Rhea and Iyo are feuding with the Kabukis so they all have something to do. The MFTs are fighting the Wyatts because they're stables. Dominik and Liv are providing filler until the Rumble comes along to set up their Mania feuds. Perhaps one or two of what's covered in this paragraph would be featured in the short term under Vince's direction, but no more than that. He would also be more effectively reckless with throwing fun shit at the wall of the undercard to see if anything catches on or generates buzz on social media for being dumb. We can be sure that HHH is booking, and it's honestly not all that far off from Tony Khan's approach. Meaningless matches with unconvincing heatless conflicts. It's hard for the characters to get over in these conditions. I wonder if Vince even watches the show, and if so, if he would even bother to try to explain to his son-in-law that much more needs to be happening.
