it's meant to drive in what a piece of shit he is and how big strong and important cody is. a standard last man standing match doesn't do that on its own, though it could be the final stip in the match.

Cody is supposedly the quote-on-quote "QB1" and yet he fails because there's a lot of other talent that overshadow Cody. so when you're in a situation like that, that cannot be your QB1. You have to take the Undisputed Belt off of Cody and put it on someone else.

They only gave it that retarded stipulation to try and make people care since nobody will show up just to see Drew job AGAIN, plus it fills time instead of having actual matches and segments.

It doesn't matter because Drew can't fall any lower than he already has. They aren't taking the belt off Cody until a major show and Drew is just in the spot of death because he can recover faster than anyone else.

Of course if the same shit happens and he keeps failing his reactions will suffer but it's not about recovering week to week, it's about being able to recover for SummerSlam or Money in the Bank. He's got look, matches, promos and was world champion. Nobody else on the roster has the ability to go from where Drew is now to major matches post-WM. Whether they actually put him in major feuds is another question but he could recover if they actually wanted to push him.
