I think it's funny that for their entire careers people thought that Nakajima was always one step ahead of Kento, but now Kento is a respected locker room leader and ace of AJPW while Nakajima is unemployable by all three major japanese companies

I think once Kento retires people will see him as a Tanahashi esque figure in that AJPW had tons and tons and tons of issues but Kento has guided the promotion through all of it and now AJPW is in a decent position. Sure it won't overtake NJPW but AJPW is fairly competitive on ticket sales with NOAH sometimes despite having nowhere near the budget and their event last night was the most ticket sales they've had for a New Years event in a few years. Plus Kento's definitely in a mode now where he's trying to get the next generation of guys up and running to eventually take the torch from him.

Shooting on Endo already had Nakajima on thin ice a little bit but once he left NOAH and went to AJPW he started larping as Inoki which got him and AJPW into trouble with the Inoki family then he unprofessionally dropped the Triple Crown and just acted like a general ass when he left AJPW to go to GLEAT. Nakajima's shitty attitude has just finally caught up with him and no one wants to deal with it anymore besides lower rung promotions desperate for any bigger names.

I would understand the treatment he's being given if finnerman was an American who pulled the kinda shit he did in the States. He wasn't really poached. Nakajima just knew he hit his ceiling in NOAH. NOAH didn't see him as a main eventer anymore and while Nakajima liked the AXIZ reunion it just wasn't enough to make him want to stay. No one in NOAH really faulted Nakajima for wanting to do more. AJPW treated Nakajima well and even humored his Inoki larp but Nakajima was an ass about dropping the belt and didn't leave on good terms. Now GLEAT is croaking and I think he's hoping Go will pull strings to get him back on at AJPW but I'm skeptical if that'll work.
