How come wrestling smarks, when the subject of 1980s wrestling I'd brought up, often like to fantasize as if wrestlers in the 1980s were some kind of mythical rockstars?

Wrestlers in the 1980s were anything but mythical rockstars

>"but waaah loads of pussy"
There are groupies in the business today
>"but access to underage pussy"
Same as today only they'd get caught and most wrestlers today sre well adjusted adulrs but those precious kids those 80s wrestlers molested are pretty much cut from the same cloth as young girls today who let men get away with those horrific acts
>but people believed they could fight
Lol no they didn't, people stopped viewing wrestling as mma in the early 70s because that's around the time beer belly jobbers became the norm, in the 80s wrestling was basically the circus of sports, only a complete moron though it was real at that point
>they were treated as equals to celebrities
Not even close, do you think it 1981 Stevie Nicks was going to a ric flair show hoping to get some one on one time with "the champ" after wards? Look at boxing then look at mma, how many celebrity audience attendees can you list whom of which have made an appearence a non wwf wrestling show in the 80s. Michael fucking Jackson was at Leonard vs Duran lll! The average 1980s star wouldn't be caught dead at a wrestling event because back in those days wrestling was largely viewed as a red neck sport cohorteted by trash people!

1980s wrestling is just a way less popular, more psychological story telling based version of modern wrestling where guys were less athletic and got away with more crime.
