They fumbled Kenta, Shibata's comeback, Naito's remaining run, etc. so hard then softlocked themselves into being a b-tier fed by partnering with AEW instead of waiting like a year or two and being able to partner with WWE. They would be on fire right now if they were working with NXT, WWE main roster, TNA and AAA etc.

NOAH and Marigold have 'light' partnerships but can still get some top people to show up. NJPW has way more resources and has a way more viable roster to use overseas. WWE could stack up NOAH but they have no immediate way to capitalize off it beyond one show and it is a long-term prospect to getting bigger. NJPW could be using the Tanahashi retirement to get their business back on track but look at the card.
