They almost had a TNN timeslot at 11 pm to 1 am and it would've been on Wednesdays. They would've gotten Ric Flair, Booker T, and added HHH or Kurt Angle to give the roster star power. When other WCW guys contracts would expire they'd do the interpromotional invasion angle and then absorb WCW fully into the WWF and do a brand split.

Vince flaked out over the timeslot and tried to make Raw the WCW brand which pissed off fans who already bought tickets and they booed Booker T/Buff Bagwell out of the building which made him shift plans again leading to the Invasion being rushed.
