>>19622467>>19622506I’d be shocked if they book Punk to beat Bron clean on the big Netflix anniversary show in January. Especially when it’s a Stranger Things crossover. HHH has cornball tendencies and I could see him booking something “strange” on purpose, thinking it’s cute.
So if Punk wins, I’d expect it to be due to interference of some kind that screws Bron. Maybe something accidental by another member of the Vision (e.g. the ‘ol “I was trying to hit Punk but he ducked and oops I knocked out Bron!” routine).
The Vision stable is (obviously) destined for ego-based splintering and division. Hopefully it’ll be interesting when it happens. The question is just how and when.
If Theory, Reed, or Logan accidentally (or intentionally) cost Bron the title, that splintering storyline could be fun for the next couple months.
Conversely, if Bron wins, then the ego-driven splintering based on all of them wanting the title could also be fun, as Heyman tries to keep the herd of cats together.
Either way, the “story” is about Bron and the Vision, not about Punk. Punk’s reign was an unexpected placeholder when Seth got hurt and vacated it. My guess is Seth was always supposed to lose the belt to Bron tomorrow night anyway. Now it’ll just be Punk instead of Seth.
….again, unless they like the idea of fracturing the Vision sooner due to a strange accident that costs Bron.
