Modern Memeltzer would have given Kurt Angle a bunch of five stars. I don't know why we bother pretending his scaling didn't go to shit in the mid 2010s. Plus he just has shit taste sometimes to begin with, like when he gave The Rock vs Hulk Hogan only 3 stars.

all wrestling in every company after mid-1998 is genuinely fucking awful except for a few PPVs and the first few months of brand split smackdown, which angle was the best thing about, but it's fair to say he didn't have a 5 star match there (meme scale or otherwise)

Because Meltzer is inherently biased against WWE, and when TNA wasn't enough of a "WWE alternative" for him, he decided to not even bother watching it (which he openly admitted). Anyone that takes Meltzer's star ratings seriously has the mind of a child.
