His entire run as Executive Producer of Ring of Honor (aka the Clone Wars Saga) nearly put ROH out of business and is what led to them being bought by Sinclair and going stagnant for years. Sinclair literally said they had no interest in growing ROH, they just wanted content to fill out their affiliates' programming schedules.

Pretty much this. Cornette is better as a wrestling historian than someone trying to book or run a promotion. Get Cornette to sit down and write out books on the history of the territories and some of the big names and underappreciated gems and you'd have gold.

I remember back when he was in charge of ROH he tried to book the fucking Headbangers and Mike Mondo as focal points of the show kek
They flopped horribly of course, but at least he gave new life to Haas and Benjamin after they had been lost in the shuffle for years in WWE
