anyone else find it weird that 75% of the posts on here are about how bad every show is doing but the status of these shows never changes and not only that but even shows that literally no one watches like TNA and NWA are getting deals? really makes ya think

Just because something is successful doesn't make it good, Mania 13 had a shit buy rate but Mania 27 did incredible numbers. I'm glad more promotions are expanding but the problem is that the big two are only worth watching highlights for at this point

pro wrestling is one of the few things that is not real sports that has a stable (albeit small) audience that wants to watch live somewhat regularly. the deal AEW last year should wake people up to why professional wrestling is seen as "valuable" to places that otherwise just push out slop like Reality Show v1, Reality Show v2 - Miami Edition, Reality Show v3 - Black women edition etc. TNA recently re-affirmed that.

True, also the fact that wrestling is hated by normies works in wrestling promotions' favor. If your viewership is 400,000, then about 380,000 of that is viewers who watch little if anything else on your channel. When you have 5 different reality TV slop shows on the same network, it's a 95-98% overlap.

no one is arguing that any wrestling is "good" in the traditional sense (it's not nor has it ever been it's low brow entertainment) it's that every post on here is this show is getting cancelled, no one watches this show, this company can't sell tickets all day every day but in reality even the lowest of the low are getting put on TV. OVW has a TV deal for god's sake.
