if they stop doing tag stuff, i think they'll still be kayfabe friends, they won't have a big break up, no matter how it happens the audience would get behind bliss (who would obviously be the heel), they'd go back to hating charles, so it just won't happen like that
i think they're setting up jade/charles for the rumble, and i think that with bliss in her corner, challenging jade, who is over but not excessively, is how charles gets back into the world title picture without getting booed
